An original gift
With Christmas looming we begin to think of gifts that we will offer. If you are looking for a little fun and original gift I recommend the burger box. Unpacking the gift will surprise and is sure to make people laugh.
Admit that receive a hamburger as a gift is not common! But the box-like packaging mistake if burgers at McDonalds contains a nice little cookbook. The burger's party is 60 recipes for making homemade burgers savory or sweet.
The author, Stephanie Turckheim declares that it is often thought erroneously that and the burger is something stodgy or high in calories. Indeed, a homemade burger to choose good bread, complete, cereals, poppy seeds ... and add raw vegetables, salad, meat, fish, cheese. Using fresh seasonal produce we can easily achieve a balanced and tasty dish.
To please the whole family, because you have to admit the children love it, I give you two recipes : one salty and sweet. And as we enter the holiday season I chose a burger gala.
Ingredients: 1 round loaf brioche, 1 fig, 1 c. S. balsamic vinegar, a medallion of foie gras, a handful of mesclun and 3 or 4 raspberries. Cut bread in half and go under the broiler. Cut the figs in 4 and fry gently in butter. Deglaze with the vinegar. To quickly return the medallion of foie gras in a pan. Place mesclun on the basis of the bread, add the foie gras, figs and raspberries. Cover with top of bread and eat hot.
For the Breton sweet burger you need: a complete muffin, 1 apple, 4 c. S. powdered sugar, 1 large knob of salted butter, 2 c. S. heavy cream. Peel apples and cut into small cubes. Leather half in a saucepan until reduced to sauce. Heat a skillet and sprinkle with sugar. When it becomes liquid, add the salted butter and the remaining diced apple. Mix gently until the apple cubes are tender. Cut the muffin in half and heat under the grill. Place sauce and caramelized apple cubes based on the muffin. Add the heavy cream beaten. Cover with top of the muffin.
Yum, yum, yum, what a great way to reconcile with the fast food. Bon appetite!

I note in my little beautiful girl who loves cookbooks. Thank you Brigitte.
Charlotte is the sister who wrote the book?
I confess I do not know the family of the famous Charlotte and I do not know if there is a relationship between the two. Anyway I saw this post from the famous Stephanie has written numerous cookbooks including one on how to have fun while providing the line. This should interest many of us.
